Congratulations to our ACCESS Nursing Services founder Louise Weadock, who has just added the prestigious Crain’s New York Business 2021 Notable Women Business Owners to her rapidly growing list of awards and achievements! Louise was also named to Crain’s New York Business 2020 Notable in Health Care, and she was awarded the 914Inc. Women in Business Awards, among Westchester’s Class of 2020 Women in Business.
Louise founded ACCESS Nursing Services in 1985, after a career as a child psychiatric nurse. Today ACCESS Nursing Services is a multimillion-dollar health care company, which quintupled its business volume in the past two years to almost $25 million, with the addition of COVID-19 services. With more than 2,000 private duty nurses; RNs, LPNs, Aides, and caregivers in five city-center offices and seven hospital-based offices, ACCESS Nursing is a leading provider of healthcare personnel to individual patients, as well as prestigious healthcare systems throughout New York and New Jersey.
Louise launched the company’s Concierge Care division recently to offer a top-level Concierge Care Private Nursing service with premier care at home or in a hotel room, rehab facility, mountain, or beach sanctuary, etc.
Louise has been a driving force in care, especially during the AIDS epidemic, SARS, MERSA, 911, Swine flu, Ebola and H1N1 -- and now the COVID crisis. She formed the “COVID Care Force” to meet the dire need for nurses in New York City when COVID cases began to spike. More than 2000 of the top nurses from across the US were recruited and provided with special ACCESS Nursing Coronavirus Training before being assigned to hospitals, nursing homes and testing sites in some of New York’s hardest hit areas. She then founded COVID Clear Services in April 2020 to provide on-site testing, tracking, and tracing services to businesses, schools and at events, like weddings and Bar Mitzvahs. COVID Clear offers two COVID-19 testing options: rapid testing (results in 10 minutes) and PCR testing (results in 24 to 36 hours). All COVID-19 testing, and screening are performed by experienced clinicians. DIY in-home testing kits are also available and can be sent by mail.
A graduate of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Louise is on the Board of Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, and she is considered a thought leader in Autism Spectrum Disorders.
